The deadline for declarations of inactivity is extended to June 30th

By law, by March 31, all companies that have not been active in the previous year must file a declaration with the Registry Agency. This is the deadline that expires soon after the state of emergency.

Due to numerous inquiries from clients, Horozov & Partners Law firm recalls that with the still unpublished Emergency Measures and Actions Act, this deadline is extended to 30 June 2020.

It reads as follows: “§ 33. In 2020, the time limits under Article 38, paragraph 1, items 1, 2 and 3 of the Accounting Act shall be extended until September 30, 2020, and the time limit under Article 38 9 (2) of the same law shall be extended until 30 June 2020. ”

This means that declarations of inactivity will be submitted by 30 June this year and the financial statements by 30 September.

The provision was not returned for a new debate with the President’s veto, ie. there is no danger of being reviewed by MPs.

Thus, with the publication of the law in the State Gazette, which is expected to happen on March 24th , the deadline will be extended.
